A smart home website where the house answers back.

Mono Automation designs and installs lighting control, home automation, cameras, theaters and networks in South Florida homes. We built their website to show that work the way a homeowner feels it: one tap, and the whole room changes.

The brief

Smart home work is hard to show in a photo. A keypad on a wall looks like a light switch. What sells the job is what happens after you press it: shades glide down, the lights dim, the movie starts.

Mono needed a site that makes that moment obvious in seconds, shows real installs instead of stock photos, and turns a visitor into a qualified project request.

What we did

We opened the homepage with a film of one Florida living room moving through a day, controlled by a real looking keypad. Visitors press Morning, Movie or Goodnight and watch the room change.

Behind it sits a service page for every system Mono installs, each built from photos of their own jobs, plus a short project planner that replaces the usual contact form.

What we built

Everything on the site was designed and coded by our team, with no page builder or theme.

  • A hero you can play with

A 4K film of one room from morning to night. Six keypad scenes jump the film to that moment, and phones get their own portrait version.

  • 9 service pages

Lutron lighting, Savant automation, shades, cameras, intercoms, theaters, TV walls, Wi-Fi and office IT, each with its own page and gallery.

  • Real install photography

We cropped and tuned more than 60 photos from Mono's own projects, so every image on the site is work they actually did.

  • A project planner

Visitors tap the project type, the systems they want and a timing. Mono gets a clean lead email with call, text and reply buttons.

  • Fast, protected hosting

Served through Cloudflare with SSL, a spam check on the form and an uptime check every 15 minutes.

  • Ready for Google and AI search

Search-friendly titles, schema markup, a sitemap and an llms.txt file, connected to Search Console and Google Analytics from launch day.

Under the hood

The parts visitors never see, and the reason the site stays fast, safe and easy to find.

  • Hand-coded HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Cloudflare CDN, SSL and DNSSEC
  • Cloudflare Turnstile spam check on the form
  • Branded lead emails sent through Mailgun
  • Google Analytics 4 with form leads tracked as key events
  • Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
  • JSON-LD schema, sitemap and llms.txt
  • Clean URLs, one preferred domain and a branded 404 page
  • Image protection and a plain-English privacy policy
  • Uptime monitoring with instant alerts

How the project ran

From the first conversation to a live site.

  1. 1

    Plan

We mapped the services, the cities Mono serves and the one moment the homepage had to deliver.

  2. 2

    Photos and film

We sorted Mono's install photos, cropped them for every screen size and produced the hero film.

  3. 3

    Build

We coded the homepage, the 9 service pages and the planner, then tested them on phones, tablets and wide screens.

  4. 4

    Launch and measure

We launched behind Cloudflare, connected Google tools and now track every form request as a lead.
